Friday Hike – Botanic Gardens

The National Botanic Gardens of Ireland are famous for their exquisitely restored historic glasshouses. Here you can find an oasis of calm and beauty and are completely free to explore the grounds. The gardens, located in Glasnevin, contain important collections of plant species and cultivars from all over the world.

What is most striking about this place is the variety of plant species. It contains 300 endangered species from around the world, and six species already extinct in the wild.
